TEESSIDE - LANDSCAPE FROM ABOVE
PRICE ON REQUEST
Painted in the studio, this work is a constructed and imagined image of the site and the port.
The work reflects upon the industrial landscape and the history of an important port which imports and exports goods worldwide. The port at Middlesbrough was at the centre of the industrial revolution, exporting steel (which built the Sydney Harbour Bridge) made from iron ore mined at Rosedale and smelted in the giant blast furnaces of Teesside. This bird’s eye view plays with multiple picture planes and altered perspectives, to reflect the complexity and challenges of the project.
