RAVENSCAR - TOWARDS THE NORTH SEA
PRICE ON REQUEST
This work was painted outside early on a glorious summer’s morning. The sun was rising and casting Ravenscar into shadow and silhouette. Ravenscar is on the south side of Robin Hoods Bay and at the centre of the mining project leading out into the North Sea. This area was also the site for an alum mine in the 17th and 18th century. An industrial scale operation, it was one of the first chemical production plants in the country.
